Solar power to shine through in the Middle East, not an option. It’s a necessity..
The Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region receives one of the highest
solar radiations in the world. This potential is now starting to be more
seriously considered, driven by rapidly increasing energy need, the PV
modules have also undergone significant price decreases and finally, an
increasing awareness of the costs of burning natural resources.
Several countries like: Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, United Arab Emirates,
Turkey, and Saudi Arabia, have ambitious solar plans as well as evolving
policies and regulatory frameworks to support these goals. Demonstration
projects are being deployed in some countries, while large scale projects
are being deployed in others.
Besides, MENA region could become home to a new industry with great
potential growth. The region could benefit from significant job and wealth
creation.
With the solar market poised to grow further, this presentation will analyze
and review the nature and scope of the current market and the outlook for
the regional PV including the solar panels production
