PERC Solar Cells Development and Manufacturing

Recently the standard Al back surface field (BSF) p-type mono crystalline silicon
solar cells are significantly replaced by the passivated emitter rear contact (PERC)
solar cells in large volume. PERC solar cell appears successfully migrating from
laboratory development to large volume manufacturing. The story is unfolded with
solutions of passivated-layer equipments for the mass production, light induced
degradation, and p-type wafer quality. We also successfully applied PERC structure
to the mc-Si solar cells and achieved a record 21.6% cell efficiency. At mass
production, the average solar cell efficiency is over 21%. The average module
wattage of 60-cell (6”) achieves over 300W.
