Record Performance Perovskite Cells Progress towards Large-Scale Manufacturing
Organometal halide perovskites have emerged as one of the most promising materials for photovoltaic solar cells, with power conversion efficiency (PCE) of over 20% have already been demonstrated. This mainly attributes to their outstanding optical and electrical properties, such as tunable bandgap, long electron-hole diffusion lengths, low recombination rates and low-temperature processability. In order to participate in the highly competitive solar market, manufacturability and stability are the two most important issues that need to be considered besides efficiency. History, working mechanisms and technical barriers of perovskite solar cell will be presented here, as well as the recent progress achieved in Microquantatowards commercial products of perovskite solar cells. Microquanta obtained the record efficiency of perovskite mini-module with the efficiency of 16.0% (Newport certified), this result has been updated to the latest version of Solar Cell Efficiency table.
