Dr CheeMun Chong is the CEO of Solar Skin Pty Limited based in Sydney Australia. He has established the first pilot production line for large-area perovskite solar modules in Australia and continues to focus on the commercialisation of perovskite solar modules and BIPV modules.
Prior to his current position, Dr Chong was the Director of Industry Collaboration at the Photovoltaics Centre of Excellence in UNSW Sydney for over 10 years. He was also the leader of both the UNSW Advanced Hydrogenation research team and the UNSW Module Recycling research team.
CheeMun Chong undertook his PhD studies at UNSW Sydney under the supervision of Scientia Professor Martin Green. Since receiving his PhD degree, he has worked for various world-leading organisations such as Exxon-Mobil, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and Arthur D. Little International Inc.
Solar Skin aims to provide perovskite-based solar modules and BIPV products to help society accelerate towards net zero emission. The global team at Solar Skin have extensive expertise and experience in both perovskite and silicon solar cell technologies. Solar Skin is developing a range of unique BIPV products which incorporates fire-retardant materials. In addition to supporting acceleration towards net zero emission, Solar Skin’s fire-retardant BIPV products will be competitively priced and has near zero fire-risk.
